Email was littered with assurances about the sender being trusted and the contents having been scanned by a virus checker. Was for an email address I once used (only) for a pension provider. The addresses must have been leaked.

Text message received 18 Aug purporting to be from HSBC regarding a new payee (Mrs R Rasif) - if the name was unknown to me, I was to visit a website called ‘hsbc-unknown-activity’. HSBC confirmed all was bogus.

Some guys called me asking if I was Mr. R. (I'm a woman btw). I said "no" so he said "forget the name then, your number was put as a first point of contact following a minor incident involving a car". When I explained I don't own a car, and have never in my 31 years been involved in any incidents, he just refused to believe me. Kept saying "it was just a minor" over and over again.
