I originally wrore a reply advising caution. Since then, I have checked with Natwest and this is their fraud team (but confusingly not the same numbers that they ask you to call to report fraud). It turns out that they flagged some low value purchases I'd made (at places I've shopped before) as suspicious. One of those purchases hadn't gone through the first time, possibly what set things off.
