SCAM. This is a scam. The caller claims to be identifying tenants of problem landlords who are not maintaining the property. They will take enforcement action against the landlord and recover their costs from the landlord. However, I am being called 1-2 times per week, there is 5 seconds of silence when I answer the phone indicating automated/random dialling, I tell them I own my own home, they respond by saying they will update their records, I block their number, they set-up a new number, and the calls ke

Scam. Said he was calling from Google. Indian accent, in call centre.
An Asian accented female called from this number. Insisting she was from Vodafone. Said she had a deal for me and was given my number to offer this great deal but no details about my contract. I said she should have my contract, she said no, this went back and forth. The deal was worse then my current contract. I said she was wasting my time. She said I was wasting hers and got rude. I said your behaviour and comments implies your are not Vodafone and are most likely a scam. She put the phone down
Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. Recorded message purporting to be from VISA security advising of two debits to my card, and asking my to press a number to speak to them. Lack of customer name or even name of card issuer made call to generic to be legit, so looks like a scam. However since number is a landline looks like the recorded number is also bogus
