The day i was scammed was thesame day i lost my daughter, i was totally destroyed emotionally for 3 month. i didn't have a dime left in my bank besides my credit. all my life savings was cleared from my bank by some investment scammers which i shared my banking details with. the police and the bank only filed a report and closed the case, i was left all alone to suffer it and i can swear it was a living nightmare. Called by lady claiming she was from BT. Wanted me to reset my I/p address. Claimed someone was trying to log onto my network. Was willing to talk me through settings. Said I knew how to do it. She hung up
01794399253 called my landline on Thursday 13 July and a recorded message advised me that money had been transferred from my account and to key 1 to sort it. 01794 is a Romsey UK number as is my number so I assumed it was local. I did not continue with the call. It was the same as other messages that I have received recently mentioned Amazon. How do scammers phone from local numbers?
