This number is british gas sales spam. He rang my business and tried to tell me he is my current supplier - even though I haven't been at said property for 5 years, and tried to argue with me!! haha I do not I told him I do not have gas at my new property and he hung up on me, when they hang up it infuriates me so much, next time I will just hang up and block and not tell them anything. grrrr
Time wasters and annoying, it should not allow to make phone calls and disturb people in their work and leisure time!!!
Told it was tax fraud case opened by HMRC I imagine this is spam.

Fraud SCAM Got a call from this number, 21/02/2024 at 16:41. Scam caller claiming to be carphone warehouse, which I have no account or dealings with. The people on the other end were talking together unaudibly for at least 30 seconds before some lady spoke through the phone claiming to be carphone warehouse, which she called ‘carphone company’. Hang up and block this number immediately.

Claimed to be from RBS credit card fraud in relation to an SMS NHS Covid phishing attempt on my phone. Appeared plausible and had some detailed info on my account transactions, however, when calling the number on back of my card, they said they had no record of a call from RBS. Suspect they were trying to obtain additional information to also obtain on line banking log in.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. SCAM Fraud Claimed to be HSBC fraud to check a couple of suspicious transactions and knew the area I was located in. They didn't ask for any secure information but when I called HSBC directly, they had no record of either the call or the transactions on my account.

The guy rang about PPI. He had the wrong name for the number and when I pointed out it was a company number he wouldn t give up and said he wanted to help everyone. I told him I had no PPI and he still wouldn t give in. He wanted to know if I had gone through the claim before and I told him I have no loans or credit cards so then he moved onto whether I was sold PPI through a mortgage. I kept telling him my answer was no but he was very persistent.
