This is a Santander number used to verify possible fraudulent transactions. I put through a payment that they did not recognise and I got a call and text to my mobile and another call to my landline to query it within 5 minutes. It s an annoying system but it is genuinely from Santander.

The call is not from Manchester; the scammers spoof the number.

Sounded like pre recorded responses, woman s voice saying she was calling from Action Claims PLO, I said o. Then she said "Have you been in an accident that wasn t your fault?" I said no, then she said ok and the line went dead, but she didn t sound real and the responses were delayed. Very dodgy anyway.
