Nuisance, more similar numbers tied to call my mobile phone - really no idea where they got the number! Blocking it.

The exact number was 01340 831714. After searching it here, I called the number back. It has a BT call screener on it. A Scottish sounding older lady picked up the phone. I told her my name and said I'd had a missed call from her number at 7:47am this morning (3-3-23). Her reply? "No, not me, no you haven't" and then she put the phone down. With a call that early in the morning, I thought my son had been in a car accident or something :-(. Very unhelpful and distressing. No idea what's been going

i am not sure if this company is based in the UK or if they use a generator number to look like they are from the UK . they call 3x every other day with the same number apart from last digit changing , or last 3 digits changing. So far they have pretended to be Credit card company , O2 , UK government green energy research supposedly to help you get green energy for nothing . have also pretended to be Apple and Microsoft .

People did someone answer this number? I had few missed calls from this one, probably some call centre robocaller testing my number? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. I was trying to dig some info on the internet, don't want to call them back until I know who might be calling but no luck. Some idea who is it?
