This was the first time there was an automated call at the other end purporting to be from HMRC asking me to press 1 because I hadn’t replied to them so they would start legal proceedings. Obviously a scam but worrying as I contacted the HMRC yesterday regarding tax relief and HMRC are one of the few organisations that use my number on a phone that is only used for verification purposes and not my main phone number used for day to day stuff. certain this is scam - sounded real for about 30 seconds - quizzing about my energy usage - but when I asked how he knew the usage he just hung up i.e. this was not a call from my supplier
Electronic voice claiming to be calling from Amazon about a "recent purchase". Untrue, potential scam, hung up.
SCAM Automated call pretending to be my bank re 2 transactions against my account. One was for £700 from Amazon. Press 1 to authorise and 2 to speak to someone. I hung up.

I was called from this number today. I did not answer and they did not leave a message on my answering machine. The number that appeared initially on my telephone was not the same as this one. This is clearly a scam.
