automated call telling me there has been a suspicious foreign currency transaction on my debit card for £600 (strange its exactly £600 in a foreign currency!!!) and that I should press '2' to speak to a customer service advisor. Pressed '2' to see where it would divert me and went straight through to a foreign call centre.

SCAM - Missed a call from this number, called it back and got a generic message saying the number wasn’t in service (in American accent)
WARNING - IT'S A DANGEROUS SCAM! It's a computer dialling numbers in sequence to sniff out voice lines. If you speak then the line is detected as 'a voice line' and logged, a scammer will then call you later! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead - then you have just successfully escaped being scammed! Well done. THESE CALLS ARE HARASSING AND ARE ALWAYS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!

Unsolicited call to a TPS registered phone number. Asked for me by my maiden name (have been married for several years). Asked who was calling and she identified herself as [muffled] security and asked if I was aware that they are installing security in my local area. I told her I wasn t interested and hung up.
