call was from old home town area code so answered (as usually ignore unknown numbers) and it was a "you have recently had an accident" call centre. Said i hadnt and she was very polite in response. Blocked number still though.

Received call from a withheld number claiming to be TalkTalk and said there was an issue with my router and needed to connect to my computer. Asked for a reference number and they gave me this number 020 81233558 to call back. Instead I called TalkTalk's number on their website who confirmed no-one fro TalkTalk had called me and this was a phishing scam.
Scam via browser saying you have a trojan virus and to ring the number. Do not ring. Not a virus, just a scam to charge you to fix it. If you have Safari and it locks with the message, force quit it, and then restart it while holding down shift key to load Safari without opening previous browser windows.

Do not ring back if they contact this way as you may pay a lot more than you realise. Also when you look at where in London it originates it's actually a London number originating from Guernsey SO BEWARE!!!!!
