Seems to be the old non-specified electrical appliance scam
Phoned my mobile,answered but not a peep. they hung up after 11seconds.
SCAM Fraud FRAUD - impersonating O2, gaining access to personal information and ordering services using your credentials. BEWARE!!!
SCAM - robot voise purporting to be from Visa - number blocked
Phone rang 4 times , I answered it, no one there. Another automated call?
Said there was a fault on the line, asked me to visit https://validator.w3.org/ to prove there were errors / faults with the broadband, and then tried giving me a web address to connect directly with their servers. Highly suspicious, I asked to take their number and call back. Gave me a supposed BT reference number.
Had a missed call at 9pm last night
Recorded voice of woman claiming that there had been irregular activity on my MasterCard. nDidn t listen to entire message but left the phone off the hook.
I had a call from this number saying it's the police and my national insurance has been used for suspicious activities. They threatened me with arrest and then asked me for my name and my insurance number, When I said I wouldn't give it to them and would present myself to a precinct instead they hung up on me.
Tried calling me but hung up.
Usually silent or claiming to be a local energy rep.
