I read the above comments and decided not to pick the call
Call received today from Mike (with an Asian accent) from Internet (something or other). Told him that I had a call from them a few days ago (but that was 0113 258 6691), and that I was registered with the TPS and so shouldn t be calling me. He immediately hung up.

Scam pretending to be o2
Caller to our TPS registered number wrongly claiming to be "your current energy supplier". Attempted to tell me I was wrong when I told him that they weren t our supplier, and demanded to know if I was "the manager", and then attempted a line of stammering bullshit when I asked him to prove his credentials by quoting me the account number and the name of the account holder. A complete, lying, shyster who got himself told to sod off, in fairly short order.
Originally I was receiving calls daily from 02036211371 but as I have now blocked this number they are now using this one. I have told them a number of times there is no business operating on this number and have also told them I m potentially terminally ill (which is NOT a lie) but they won t leave me alone.

TAXES / HMRC Automated call SCAM Fraud Pretty sure this is a scam. unclear who it is from, gave a long number to bamboozle me, threatened to withdraw my national insurance number if I don't press 1, threats of magistrates. trying to establish if it is genuine and have emailed HMRC to report it
