This (spoofed?) number was the apparent originator of a smishing scam claiming that my PayPal account had been restricted and giving a reasonably plausible looking hyperlink to follow. Only close examination revealed that the link was false (although it was cleverly constructed as an https address, it used dashes rather than slashes to disguise the actual domain name).

I did not answer, but strangely the nos called my work colleague who answered, caller referred to a complaint colleague made which they didn't! SPAM

DO NOT PICK UP. It s a premium rate number if you call back. If you call them back your phone bill will be high as they charge a lot per minute on the call. Scammers saying they are from the BBC trying to get money out of you. Please don t give them any details.
