In-work Credit You may be able to get in-work credit if you are a single parent claiming: Income Support income-based Jobseeker s Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance (but only if you lost entitlement to Income Support due to the age of your youngest child and could not claim Jobseeker s Allowance due to illness) and you take a job where you are working at least 16 hours a week. In some places, in-work credit is available for all parents responsible for a child, not just single parents.
