Asked for a person with a similar name to me. I said no one here with that name, then they hung-up

Asked for me by my maiden name - I was married 4 years ago so it cant be anything official - probably accident I never had or PPI!
Having reported a fault to BT online, I received a call from this number. My (BT) screening phone did not let it through. I rang BT to ask about an engineer and said I had received a call from this number, I was told that, upon checking my account, no one from BT had called. It appears not to be a genuine BT number.
