I suggest you folk get a BT8500 Advanced Call Blocker phone. You can block it or only allow it to go to answer phone. I purchased a quad set for handling all these unsolicited calls. They are brilliant and as far as I know, the only phone to do this.

01202 402381 two times called me each time no response on line when I answered even line was still open. Now blocked and considered suspicious.

The number 0161 765 7567 came in as an International call answered and hung up immediately.

Text message, claimed to be from Lloyds. gave me a dodgy url to "secure my account" - obvious scam so came here to warn others
Scammers. NEVER give ANY information to a caller, no matter how convincing they sound.
