Called to say that they had been informed that I had been involved in a car accident - I haven t. Told them that they were lying and she said that they would delete me from their database. She sounded so bored it was amusing! Let s see what happens
Called the number back and was told by an automated reply system. "You were called by People s Claims Limited on 01618.... Please Try Again" Then in another automated voice "If you would like to remove your number from our system, press 1"... "Please enter your phone number, followed by the hash key" Once done, the line goes dead. Will update to let you know if they remove you for good. Call centre based in India. They claim that there has been unauthorized activity on the internet from your computer and they will disconnect you unless you pay them. Once they have your credit card details they will take all the money that they can get away with. There are other variations on this to get your credit/debit card details.

Call twice - 2nd time at 08:07 - both of which I failed to pick up Called back - Scottish sounding guy answered phone and said Macenzie hall (or something like that) and asked for a reference number - I said I had no idea, then asked if they had called this number - I said yes they then asked for someone who used to live here like 5-6 years ago. On explaining they had gone they said they would remove my number from their list. Let s hope they do!
