Man with Pakistani accent (no name given) said my computer is giving me trouble. It is, as it's refusing to boot up. He also said it is a laptop, correct again. Completely unnerved, I said that Action Fraud would be delighted to hear about it and then I rang off without giving any of my details. This has got me really, really worried. I do my utmost to keep everything secure, with passwords, 3 step authentication, etc. How has he got in?

This is a completely valid number - the only problem is that it is a generic outbound call and you will be unable to identify the specific department that called you. This is actually quite frustrating for most recepiants. The NHS will normally call again later.

Scottish Power. Rang 21 times over 14 days on my home phone and also mobile. Very aggressive attitude, would not take a polite "no thanks".
Fraud - recorded message saying my NI number had been compromised in Wales.
This call is the 2nd call I have had this afternoon not the same company I must say in fairness. I refuse to answer their questions.
