Similar to the below comments. they called me and told me i had to immediately call them back as I have been evading tax payment. A very convincing scam! don't fall for it!
We have a phone which will allow you to assign different ring tones to different numbers. So we have saved the number and given it the worst R/T so we know not to answer it.
Recorded message saying they were "your Internet Provider" (did not say which company!). Threatened to cut off my internet unless I phoned them.

Answered a call today - from a claims company - "I have contacted my insurance company recently about a claim and I am due compensation" This is not true he said he would take my number off the list - I highly doubt this.
