SCAM I have had three identical calls in one hour, all claiming to be from Technical Support in Virgin Media, checking up on my broadband connection. Strong foreign accent. By coincidence, an engineer had just fixed a router problem this morning. They hung up when I told them.

Caller claimed to know I d been involved in a road traffic accident and said she was calling to "confirm details". In fact she had no details as there has been no such accident. She claimed to have been informed of my accident by the "Road Traffic Accident Department". When asked who that actually was, just repeated the question - i.e. trying to get me to tell her about my accident. eventually she got tired of me and hung up. Missed call
ACL Manchester calling using spoof local dialing code number, been calling once or twice a day never leaving a message. Reported to OFCOM.

Seems suspect. Delayed response when I answered. "Hello, is that Mr. (My first name)?" So I just said "Who is this?" Bit of a delay... They asked again and I said again "Who is this?". They went quiet, so I hung up.
