Called mobile. Unknown number so rejected call. Dialed back with Caller ID disabled and got "The number you are calling is nt recognised". Conclusion: Someone hiding behind a faked Caller ID number. IMmediate distrust and number blocked.
Claims your national insurance number will be blocked unless you press a number to talk to a member of staff.

It's a Madingley number, I don't know anyone from this area. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognise, I just let them go to the answering machine...

car insurance comparison, I recently used some price comparison websites but did not give permission to be contacted by phone. When you answer the phone it seems to charge back because it brings up a dial tone and it seems like you are the one ringing them.
Latest number in the Amazon account scam This one was more insidious because it came before 7am, making you think there was a panic somewhere in the family so you answered the call without checking the number.
