Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them. ANY call about your computer, router, viruses...

They call you, you answer the call, they instantly hang up. Not sure if this is a way of getting you to call back but it is happening on a daily basis with numbers originating from London to Glasgow.

Phishing call claiming to be DVLA saying I paid too much vehicle tax and am eligible for a refund. Left an obviously fake link and I don't even drive.
Never answer any number like this, it always seems to be a accident claim company
Automated call Nobody answers when you call back
Unpleasant man by the name of Russell called from Weathershield -said calling from Ludlow. I asked why calling when our number is registered with the TPS. He said they don t have to check, TPS are supposed to do it for them! I asked for our number to be removed from their database. He became most aggressive and unpleasant saying that he would keep the number on the system and call me every day. When I rang the number back a very faint answer message announced it was Weatherproof UK Ltd.

SCAM - called pretending to be Carphone Warehouse offering me "all the deals" on iPhone and Samsung. Block and do not answer the call. After I called them out for being scammers and not being legit, he said "Your account will be emptied in the next 20 - 30 mins, you have been scammed, goodbye". I recalled the number and it went through to someone's work number, not related to the originally phone call.
