SPAM / SCAM / ANNOYING - where did they get out telephone number from? The call was supposedly about old windows and doors scrappage scheme - to see if we were eligible. It seemed that the caller at the other end of the telephone may have been AI rather than an actual person as 'he' didn't actually comment on what I had answered but just went onto the next question. I therefore asked if it was a real person or AI and if it was AI, then I wasn't interested, and hung up.

Received a call to say I had overpaid on APR for a loan or something that I had taken out between 2002/2009. When they asked me to confirm my DOB for Data Protection , I advised that they would have that info if they have somehow gotten my address etc, so I asked them to quote my DOB and I would confirm... Was transferred onto hold, then back to caller, then phone was hung up. Definitely fishy.

An automated voice said - You are wanted for unpaid taxes & if you you want to avoid possible jail time press, "1" on your keypad. This is H.M.R.C., (claim to be Tax Office). I didn't press 1, (scared it was a scam)! I'm going to phone them & hope to find out who they are.
This number is unallocated so the call was definitely from a scammer. These calls which use spoofed numbers originate outside the UK and are untraceable. Block the number on you...
