Called 08:10 Saturday, Far Eastern Woman claiming my BT Internet was faulty (I do not have BT internet), I played along with her (time is money to these scammers, so it is always particularly satisfying when you keep them on the line as long as possible). When I started cross questioning her she said she would transfer me to a colleague, she muted me for 3 seconds then she began her spiel again - when I pointed out she was the same woman she hung up. As attempted scams go this one is very lame.

Due to the number of annoying daily calls I receive,I have tried different ways of stopping these unwanted calls. The best way I have found at the moment is caller number display on my landline, followed by blocking them. The above number called me twice this am in the space of 30mins. Disadvantage is the cost to have this facility, but probably worth it.
SCAM- I answered and got a recorded message saying they were calling from the fraud and investigation centre and they were going to suspend my National Insurance number if I don’t contact them urgently!
