SCAM - Motor accident in last three years - couldn’t give me the date of the incident, then hung up on me!
I enquired after a van through Gumtree, seller said payment should be made through eBay (before I saw the van!) and this caller said he was from eBay and wanted to complete the transaction. When I said no thanks to the scam the caller immediately hung up.

Some law firm claiming me or a close family member had had a road traffic accident. No accidents taken place so just a bogus call.

This number has been bothering me for a few weeks now and I ve ignored it - Answered it today and it was a company telling me they had been informed I ve been in a car accident that wasn t my fault.. "Is that right" she asked. I think the company is sigma or something similar. When called back it says incorrect number.

Just some info for you. By law, if you receive any more than four phone calls from the same number, it is harassment and can be reported to the police. I had another number calling me up to six times a day and rang the police to see what can be done. I have just received two phone calls from this number and have not answered. Having read the comments....number now blocked.
