Just got a call stating from Albany on this number. Knew my name, stated I had been in accident. Told him that was not so and asked for car reg that had been in accident. Would not identify vehicle, defensive, rude, rang off. male with Liverpool accent. Sounded busy in background. Who are these creeps that ring you on your mobile. Where did they get my name and mobile number? Scarey.

Said Brit gas of whom we do currently have a problem with Indian accent couldn’t make out what saying What turned things to thinking a scam was constant calling like an emergency when wife cut off saying couldn’t understand their broken English Then they digressed into details decades ago So this coupled with relentless calling suggests they have hacked so far into British Gas server and even got a certain level of detail as to a customers current dealing North Tyneside and India-more likely listed
