I was stopped outside a shop by 2 men, said they were fundraising for cancer research uk weekly lottery. I gave them my details as the information leaflets they gave me were genuine. BUT, on phoning cancer research uk and Macmillan , neither of these charities had any information on this number. I have therefore informed the bank to stop any direct debits under the name of these charities.
