Been getting calls from about 4pm up to about 8-9pm, normal companies would never do this, its ridiculous and needs to stop

Call from India asking for information. Silence on line when I answered so I knew it was from a call centre. I put the receiver next to the radio and turned the volume right up. Fed up of these calls.

Demanded money from my elderly father claiming he owes insurance for a tv. Caller TOLD him his bill will be sent to him........i doubt it will be though as it is a huge scam!

Seems to be a made up insurance company - I get several missed calls too but no voicemails.
Standard question. Can I speak to Matthew?. Believe it is a tactic used by marketing companies to determine whether a number which is blocking unsolicited calls from their 0870 number is still live. All they want you to do is to answer and they will now the number is still in use.
