I've just had an hour long 'discussion' on web chat with O2 and eventually they agreed to refund me £5 as 'a goodwill gesture' whilst previously saying that I had to text STOP to the number (incurring more charges) and then contacting PhonePayplus to get the money back. My advise is to persist with your provider as it is them charging you via their billing system therefore they should refund and chase up the spurious charges themselves.

This is a scammer, they claim to be from BT and they are going to disconnect your line and internet. As I am not with BT it is easy to know this is rubbish, but do try to keep them on the line as long as possible, since they are probably ringing from outside the UK (more expensive) and the (apparent) UK number is spoofed.
