When I answered call to work mobile there was a pre-recorded message, no identification of the company calling, stating an arrest warrant had been issued due to investigation for tax evasion and asked me to dial through to find out more information, presumably to a premium phone number

I was called by this number and told that they had a file on their database which was relating to an accident I had in the last three years on the road, I said no, and they said that the file would be removed. Not sure what this is about, however I would suggest this is probably a scam. They called themselves EML I think
Are based in Scotland with no known office in 01305 exchange area. Have calls from Scotland re-routed through local exchange numbers in order to persuade people to answer a local number. If you call it back, then the call is again re-routed back to their Scotland office. Not sure if this is an illegal practice under telephony legislation, but would be interested if anyone can come up with the legislation about having calls re-routed to give the answering CLI the impression that the call is local.
