Just received a call from this number on my mobile. Bad line and can't remember the name, but to do with financial services - that I'd been chosen for a financial revue and would receive a gift voucher and something to do with a funeral. Totally unsolicited and a nuisance.
how do they get our telephone numbers ? i never use any of my private numbers when asks to leave contact info on forms ect, someone must somehow collect them and sell them on ! it must cost the firm to ring these numbers, unless there breaking the law and somehow redirecting.

There are few similar numbers reported on these pages as a nuisance, scam and unsolicited bank services or just a recorded message (in this case be aware, this should be a trap to make you call them back - line is for shared costs!)... sometimes connected with the Pension review team, which can also be only a call centre working for them: 08437240459, 08437240463 and 08437240470 - see all of them same call centre 084372404xx and all for shared costs, so I assume this is good working money trap... And as can
Some £&@“! taking a survey, asking a bunch of stupid questions. The caller ID came up as EE Customer Support. I should have ignored or hung up (some are fakes though and know how to hide their caller ID and pretend to be EE). Better to ignored such calls in future!
Persistent caller over the last two weeks, trying to get me to switch energy suppliers. Said I wasn't interested but they keep calling back. I don't pick up the phone when I see the number displayed.

Very formal official sounding voice delivering a scary message: Warning theat HMRC were about to file a serious lawsuit against me. Had this twice today. Remember if they don't use your name but address you directly then it must be a hoax.
Called twice and didn't leave a message.
