Rang 3x then cut as I answered
I read in the press that the STAR 9500 smartphone has been found to have a factory installed trojan virus. So I disabled my STAR 9500 and moved the sim card to an old phone. A few days later the old phone reported a missed call and a text message. The message was just this number. I didn t call it back.
SCAM pretend to be HMRC. They don’t know what that stands for and appear to be of Indian origin.
This number has phoned in the past and now rings at least 4 times a day. It may be The Telegraph as mentioned in other comments because they have phoned before about a subscription which I have refused. I am in TPS but it s a waste of time as Imget loads of nuisance calls.

I missed a call today from this number. I am a customer.
Has to be said this is a pretty useless site. It bears the title "Who Called Me" but makes no attempt to show who called me. All it does is display the number I am asking about and shows me a generic picture of London. How do I get the totally wasted ten minutes of my life back?
"Hello I'm Patrick, your local energy advisor, how are you today"...Local? Since when was Bournemouth local to Herts? Unusually a southern English accent. Obviously some kind of sales pitch exploiting current energy price surge, but couldn't be bothered & hung up.
Now that PPI insurance claims are a thing of the past, the new daily phonecall involves making a claim against life assurance that has been mis-sold. Queue the unsolicited, fishing phone call from a Pakistani/Indian sounding man... I didn t get his name. He rang from a mobile phone (07986 585865) and stated he was "from the Review Team" and wanted to ask a few questions about current market trends. The subject immediately turned to life assurance, what type of policy I had and how much we paid for it.
SCAM / SPAM claimed to be from HMRC press 1 to be connected to an HMRC Officer if you do not a writ will be issued for you and you will be arrested shortly. ignored and call went dead. SCAMMER
