The probability is that this is being initiated by morons with an overall IQ of zero. This is a high pressure sales caller purporting to be from a company called ESI, although I could find no details of them online. Their aim is to get people on good defined benefits pension schemes to sell out. They talk a good game, but this smells awfully like a scam outfit which is attempting to get people to transfer monies from safe defined benefits schemes to them, which is incredibly worrying. Your best bet if you receive a call from this number is to block it.

I do not answer phone numbers beginning 01202 as when checked here all have been identified as possible fraud/scam calls. By mistake I answered a call from this number yesterday which led to a man trying to discuss my recent install of roof insulation (never happened). I told the man in no uncertain terms to stop calling me and guess what happened today at 1230, same number calling again ( No didn’t answer). Apparently unable to recognise rejection of their possible fraud/scam.

SCAM: The number 08000478737 is on a letter supposedly from Trading Standards saying a wine investment company I have shares with has gone bust. The letter comes with an Insolvency Service form to complete regarding my shares, and that i must complete it in order to get full value of my shares returned. I must telephone the number to give the answers. Except, the wine company hasn't gone bust & Trading Standards don't send out these kind of letters.

01268297675 - when you call this number back it says that their office is closed (at all times during the week!) I have blacklisted the number due to my severe & enduring mental health condition as 5he only reason for doing this so frequently with no callback is to upset people. I am aware that I have incurred arrears but I have time to pay via the dates on my 9nline account. The caller should be prosecuted both civilly & criminally under the Telecommunications Act!
