This is a scam number based in eastern block country, pretending to be HMRC. Report it immediately and completely ignore it.

Sales call for some sort of solar energy, told them registered with TPS but ignored this and was persistent in trying to sell

I think this might actually be a valid Co-op number. I say that because: 1. I tried to make some credit-card payments while abroad, but they were declined. 2. This number called my mother to check the payments. 3. When my mother confirmed with them that the payment attempts were valid, my card started working again! But I cannot 100% confirm. My mother actually received three calls over the weekend. Sadly this number is not shown on the Co-op website. So it's difficult to verify.

SPAM Going by other reports it is a Bank Scam, claiming 2 dodgy payments on your account. But could also be the dreaded I'm calling from Microsoft - monitoring the worlds IP addresses and yours is being used illegally. Whoever they are block the number and relax. It might be good if you have your Banks fraud team number logged in the phones phone book.
SCAM very well spoken, told me he was from the Fraud team at the Halifax then started asking about an sledged fraud then asked for email address & bank account, I said you tell me, which he did & my card no he quoted my old bank card that I’d had cancelled & I told I could remember my card number. Standard Indian Call Centre spam, something about a free phone. When they could hear I was aware, put phone down. Called them back few times for a laugh but they know I know.
SCAM claimed to be from my bank suggesting 2 large withdrawals from my account and wanted me to 'press 1 to allow.......' TOTAL SCAM
