Anon, Myrtle s comment is correct at that date. It is, or was, a technical help number for out of warranty BT phones. Bit cheeky of them to use a premium rate number, though.

Fraud Had a call from this number, recorded message stating I owes money to inland revenue and to press numbers for options. Disconnected! I'm on PAYE so know for a fact i owe nothing.

Foreign sounding woman who tried telling me she was calling from a government agency about a no blame accident . Despite telling her what I thought she persisted and it wasn t until i started swearing did she put the phone down.
