SCAM - purporting to be HMRC
Scam from asian sounding male suposedly working for Virgin Media and claiming that my router was faulty. After getting me to jump through some hoops, told me that I would be getting a new router and £204.56 in compensation. That when I realised it was a scam and they needed my account details which they did not get.

Said he was Jordan from Amazon calling about my Amazon account. I suspected a scam and ended the call immediately.
Fraud. Claims to be HMRC London, but is a Bolton number. They will ask for your name and details but DO NOT give them out. If you ask them, they will give you a genuine number so that you are confident, but that is not who they are. Similar to the Windows scam, they will give you the registered address of Microsoft in Reading and a genuine name of someone who works there, but that doesn't stop it being a scam. If they called you, they should know your details!
