Some guys called me asking if I was Mr. R. (I'm a woman btw). I said "no" so he said "forget the name then, your number was put as a first point of contact following a minor incident involving a car". When I explained I don't own a car, and have never in my 31 years been involved in any incidents, he just refused to believe me. Kept saying "it was just a minor" over and over again. This number called me twice. When I rang it back it was a German speaker for Secret Escapes. They apologised and said that there must be a technical fault as they were not calling out. Very nice people!

This number (01613028217) called me just after six o’clock apparently telling me that there was nobody available to answer my call ( which I have never made), but giving me another number which would be able to deal with my ( non-existing) enquiry. The new number supplied (01618148666 ) doesn’t have many posts on this site yet so I presume that its one that’s newly in use. I believe that these numbers are in fact a new style of scamming bait and on this basis I think that I will never try to ring either num
