Automated voice saying it's regarding a transaction on my Amazon account, order for over 1k using the card that has been used recently. It was asking me to press 1 if it is me placing the order or 2 if it's not. Obviously I hang up. Clearly a scam.

Scammers pretending to be inland revenue and will send helicopters laser, special agents, drones, the works if you do not pay them. If the inland revenue actually operated this way I would enjoy the show, But no its just some unscrupulous fraudsters sitting in some dingy office far far away from the UK with absolutely zero to do with the UK authorities. The number is spoofed as well.
