Phone call received from this number 26.2.20 on my landline (which is registered with TPS). Scam call about a bank transaction - press 1 to confirm etc. Ended call and checked bank and no such transaction. I believe this was a phishing attempt and fraudulent.
Tells me he's from BT Internet, that there's a problem with my broadband and that his technician is working on it. Got me to runa speedtest (using Ookla, oddly enbough, not the BT speed test ;-) ) then started getting me to download some executable from Teamviewer, presumably to give him access to my PC. I told him to get lost at that stage - Teamviewer is a legit site by the looks of it, but I doubt that this bloke was going to help me any way! I suggested he got a proper job.

Called me twice, the second call straight after the first. Hung up when answered both times.

Seemed like a scam to me. Automatic message said there were suspicious charges againt my bank account and invited me to press 1 to cancel these charges. Banks don't work like that.
Who called me
This number rang me out of the blue. A lady introduced herself and said she was calling from Sigma Insurance. She said she understood I had been involved in an accident (I haven t) that wasn t me fault; and was that right? I said no and asked her to remove my number and any other information about me she might have on her database. She hung up without response.

Fraud. Automated HMRC call stating a tax fraud has been registered against your name.
Received this call from this number introducing the company as CMA after I'd had an accident. Told me my details were 'passed on to them'. They've been harassing me every night from similar numbers for almost a week now. Asking me to confirm details of accident so that some sort of insurance or compensation claim can be made against the other driver's insurance. Avoid!!
