SCAM! Be careful, I was called with an offer from ‘Currys Carphonewarehouse’ to reduce my mobile sim cost while upgrading the data and minutes allowance and the scammers already had a lot of my personal information including the monthly cost of my current sim plan. The dodgy email account they sent me a confirmation email from was [email protected]. They also called me on 07842778977, 07843577187 & 07848628655. Another landline number associated with the scammers is 02034042911.
Claimed to be from Sky Technical department about my internet. I do have Sky but I said I didn't believe them & hung up. If it's real, I'd expect them to call back.

At the end of the end ,whether you are a British Gas customer or not , if you have not given British Gas your permission to call you , then it is a harrassment call. The other thing to bear in mind is , unless you make the call , how do you really know who it is who has called you? I am a British Gas customer , but as far as I am aware have never given them my telephone number , so beware !!

SCAM - claiming to be from the 'visa security department' Recorded message saying the there was a transaction blocked on my card, claimed to be from 'your bank'
Recorded message that "This is BT Internet - strange IP addresses - etc". Twice today.
SCAM Received text "Hello. A bill on your account is overdue. Please call us on 03333 048668 to pay now and avoid any restrictions on your service. Standard call charges apply" This not the standard chaser text that we receive from our network provider. The telephone number is underlined and is a link -DO NOT TAP or OPEN the LINK - this is most likely to be a SCAM of some kind.
