Phone rang, I picked up, no answer, then cut out. ndialled 1471 to find this number with my home town code, Coventry. nBT error message given when I called back.
It probably is not in Glasgow. The scammers can fake any number they like.

Rang me and claimed they had my number and details of an accident from the "UK National Survey Department". There is no such department so I knew it was bogus. I rang them back and pressed 0 to speak to an operator. The guy assumed that I was simply returning a missed call and told me that they had got my number from "Road Traffic and Accident Department".
