Asked for named person. When told not at home and asked who's calling was told it was just a courtesy call. Very elderly woman on the call.
They called today (17/7/14). They are an education recruitment consultancy that I have dealt with before - and found work through.

It is scam number.Owner of that number is false "general manager of Ampersand Hotel in London" offering people false job employment letter.Later he is asking to pay money for working permit,visas etc.. Anyway AVOID

Called by this number saying to press 1 to be redirected to HMRC, then they were trying to convince me I have to pay a certain amount of money otherwise there is an arrest warrant on my name if I close the phone. looks to me like a SCAM! when I asked for some proof, they made me search for Queen's Bench Division of the High Court and give them the phone number at the bottom, and they started calling me from that number! then got angry and closed the phone.
