Definitely a scam. These calls use spoofed numbers but originate outside the UK. The scammers can spoof any number they want. Ignore it or block the number on your phone. Ref...
Call from "mike" (? asian accent) from "Universal Appliances" asking about washing machine brand, broadband provider and computer operating system, thanked me for my time and then ended the call. Probably scam.

I had a Call earlier and no-one spoke so I hung up then added them to the Voicemail List on my Phone, but then they managed to Call again! Maybe my Phone can t take so many contacts which go to Voicemail, and I don t use Voicemail.

Some reports on other sites suggest it s Carphone Warehouse, or someone pretending to be them. However there are a few saying survey or hang-up. One to be ignored.
SCAM got a call from this number - basically I have been evading paying my tax???? if I want to speak to someone about it, Press 1 I didn't come up the Clyde on a bike, I wouldn't dream of pressing 1!! Rotters, didn't even give me the chance to string them along - press 1 indeed!
