SCAM Called to say my home appliance cover will be discounted. Gave the name of Chris Jones and a contact number of 08007789104. Gave him false sort code and account number to see where this was going. He asked me to "confirm" my date of birth also gave him a false date, he missed the fact it was April Fool's day. Called at 1210hrs. Male with office sounds in background. He spoke with an Indian sub-continent accent. Said his name was Simon and was calling to make me debt free. I asked him the time where he was. He asked "Why". I said if he did not answer the question I would hang up. I hung up.

SCAM ALERT A man claiming to be from the national grid wanting to turn our electricity off to fit a new meter then we were owed a refund. Telephoned both our energy supplier and National grid and both confirmed it was nothing to do with them.

Person saying I had recently entered an online competition and had won a prize, I haven't entered anything.

Debt collector, I think this is a check up call from Oxford TV licencing Enforcement Division to check if someone aged over 75 and still forced to buy a licence is still alive, The caller asks for you by name and when you say yes they make some excuse about not being able to hear properly saying they will call back later.

Warning: under no circumstances should you communicate with this man via WhatsApp, especially if you receive a meme or a picture.

This is a scam number pretending to be from Amazon saying that my Prime membership was corrupted. I have now barred the caller.

Claiming to be calling from the "UK government" and "track and trace" asking about vaccination status and whether I've received a "vaccine certificate". Asked about the purpose of the call, she said it is to update my records. Informed her that is very interesting as the UK government does not issue "vaccine certificates" as it is all held in the NHS app. She then terminated the call. Suspected scam call beware.

SCAM - I got a text saying I had missed a parcel delivery from the Post Office, funny as I am expecting a parcel today, but it is NOT the Post Office who is delivering it. The text message tried to send me to a website to rebook delivery, but my Apple phone warned me the website was dangerous to go to, so I did not load it.

O2 scam, if your on o2 your at risk as the scammers go on o2 website enter the code you give them then hey presto they are into your o2 account.

Apparently I was due to compensation £££m having been conned by Mecedes about emissions. Told him I had seven Mercs, was a little busy and could he just put the money into a plain envelope and leave it underneath a bench at Fenchhurch Street station without passing GO, and I would have my butler pick it up later. He cut me off without confirming. The number is now blocked. Sense a potential scam.
