Called at 8am on bank holiday Monday, my phone screener warned me it was spam so I didn't answer.

Miss No idea who. Not Crewe phone number. Is Crewe area code, spoofed number. I ignored call. No voice message left. No text or email received either. Similar numbers have called before and I don't answer as end numbers after 01270 are not from within Crewe itself. I know as in Crewe myself. These are spoofed numbers calling landlines and mobiles in hope of catching people out if they know someone from Crewe and surrounding local towns that also use 01270 area code. Call supposed to be Amazon telling me someone had just spent £700 but they put a hold on it because they thought it was suspicious, it requested that I should press 1 for info. This was an automated call so I politely(not) said go away and I hung up

Fraud. Number is included in scam emails from paypal fraudsters asking you to call to cancel a payment of $699 (yes they even left the figure in as dollar) recently made. Got two yesterday but with different number to call back. Avoid
