Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. Type of call is fraud . I am getting texts from Barclays Bank telling me I ve done something with my account and if I don t agree then I am to call 03332001014. I guess it s a premium rate number and if I did call it regarding a text from my bank would they then proceed to try and get my bank details. I haven t called it of course but wanted to share the fact that this number is being used in a scam!
