Call claiming to be HMRC.
Rang me asking my name and address and refused to give it and they did not identify who they were. When pressed told me I owed money to HMRC and would I make a payment? Politely too them I would contact HMRC and if I owed them any money would pay them directly. Thought this was a scam!!!!
Constant barrage of calls, never leave a response on my now activated answerphone. They call at unreasonable hours too.
Private number
At 8.20am I answered my land line thinking it must be important and was a local number. It was a automated message saying ‘thank you for your payment of £299 for anti virus, if any problems please call our free phone number’ The number I’m afraid I didn’t get and it didn’t say any company either. I’m sure this is a scam of some sort that they catch you when you call to complain so very much aimed at the trusting, naive or elderly.

REALLY HALIFAX. IGNORE THE PEOPLE SAYING THIS IS A SCAM THEY ARE 100% WRONG. Turns out my emergency credit card had a fraudulent payment on it. I’ve never used the card so Halifax must have leaked my details, which is highly worrying. I was suspicious so I called the number on the back of my bank card to be safe but yes this is 100% Halifax’s fraud number. Someone called up saying they were from BT to supposedly report that our internet was being hacked. They were extremely vague with details and tried to use different technical terms but it made no sense. He didn t call from this number but said we should use it to call him back. He called from 01398 774762 which has also been reported as fraudulent multiple times.

Fraud - tell you that HMRC have issued a warrant for your arrest and to press 1 then they leave the connection open at their end and charge you premium rates for the call. Please don't answer - people have lost up to £300 pressing 1 and then they continually try you on different numbers every day after this. This should have been stopped long ago by the authorities - it's a disgrace that it hasn't been.
Getting scammed by this company was the worst nightmare that happened to me early this year. I wish I had done enough research before engaging. Maybe the situation with them would have been different. I was so naïve and did not have enough information I needed to know about the whole online investing scenario. I will not wish my experience upon anyone because it was such a roller coaster one, I am just happy i was eventually able to recover my lost funds through a reliable source I am open to share with any
