Silent call, probable scammer checking if the line is live
Silent call. Been getting a lot lately from unknown numbers and I usually let them go through to answerphone because they are from telesales/debt management unsolicited callers. Decided to answer this one, but I didn t speak, and the other end was complete silence. Probably just another machine doing their sleazy telesales calls for them so they don t have to even bother using a human. Another one to add to the blacklist.

Claimed to be Diamond Resorts offering 3 weeks holiday. They refused to answer questions and finally hung up!!
Fraud ...saying there has been a payee added to your account at LLOYDS bank. Gives a link to LLOYDS when you call the number it goes straight to the answering machine. Sent them a text saying their number was with the police and blocked them.

A woman called me today from the Ministry of Justice and said that i was owed thousands of pounds from Barclays bank. She gave me this number to ring and was very forceful that i contact this number to claim my money. She also asked me to provide my bank details for a credit transfer. Do not call this number as it is a scam.

This number just called my landline, the lady claimed that she was from Sky and that it had been reported time that my sky broadband was not performing at the correct speed. She did not confirm any of my customer details. Then she asked me what devices were connected to the broadband and instructed me to go to the p.c, so tat I could adjust the broadband settings. I have blacklisted the number due to my severe & enduring mental health condition as 5he only reason for doing this so frequently with no callback is to upset people. I am aware that I have incurred arrears but I have time to pay via the dates on my 9nline account. The caller should be prosecuted both civilly & criminally under the Telecommunications Act!

SCAM: The number 08000478737 is on a letter supposedly from Trading Standards saying a wine investment company I have shares with has gone bust. The letter comes with an Insolvency Service form to complete regarding my shares, and that i must complete it in order to get full value of my shares returned. I must telephone the number to give the answers. Except, the wine company hasn't gone bust & Trading Standards don't send out these kind of letters.
