Asian man saying I was due money back as I d repaid too much on a loan. Had the same call last week! I have never taken out a loan. I hung up.

I too have been called a few times. I am Birmingham University alumni. Like you, the caller tried to ask me about my happy times at university, and I sensed this was leading to asking for a donation. I asked her to be specific about the purpose of her call via email- subsequently, a formal email appeared in my inbox asking for money. hearing your experiences, I will respond to the formal email by saying I am not happy about the lack of clarify of the cold calls from the university.
Got called 15.30 missed the call called back at 22.20 and was told it was natwest bank on a mobile phone number in slough Berkshire not my bank

Phone rings, 2 seconds of sounds of a busy call centre, then a rather posh Indian says "Mr.M#####k?" I say "Yes" He continues, "My name is (bogus Indian name) this is the call blocking service..." and I hung up. I don't know why I bother answering the phone nowadays, 99% of the time it is a scam. The only reason I answered this time, is that I am expecting my second Covid-19 jab invite, and another important call. How long is this farce going to continue

This appears to be a claims management company offering PPI reclaim services. I note that an earlier comment refers to Nexbridge. Nexbridge are a telecoms provider/carrier and are not responsible for the type of call made. Applying blame to them is like blaming BT for adverts on the internet you don t like. Its the company that makes the call that frustration should be aimed at. I can confirm that I do not work for Nexbridge and am posting as I have just received a call from 01869391103.
