Caller (Indian accent) claimed to be from Amazon and told me fraudulent activity on my account. The 01625 code is the same as my landline so I thought it might be a local supplier. When I tried to end the call, the line remained active and the chap kept talking. It was only when he ended the call that my phone line was free! This was obviously an attempt at fraud.
Called me on work landline, had my surname, assume from switchboard and told me from Atol protection group and that I've been on holiday in the 2.5 years, which I have not!

It s Lowri Beck people. Different energy providers contract with them to provide additional meter readings - even if you enter yours online. The last time they phoned me I wasn t happy and said so. I was not about to battle through the shrubbery in the pouring rain to get a reading that had been submitted just 3 days ago. What s the point of that anyway?
